PDT Method
The PDT method is based on the destruction of malignant tumors through a series of photochemical reactions that occur when laser radiation of a specific wavelength interacts with a tumor-targeting photosensitizer previously introduced into the patient’s body. Additionally, photosensitizers accumulate in the tumor and, when exposed to light of a certain wavelength, exhibit fluorescence (FD) properties. This allows for more precise tumor localization, as well as the identification of its
boundaries and the extent of local spread.
