PDT Method

The PDT method is based on the destruction of malignant tumors through a series of photochemical reactions that occur when laser radiation of a specific wavelength interacts with a tumor-targeting photosensitizer previously introduced into the patient’s body. Additionally, photosensitizers accumulate in the tumor and, when exposed to light of a certain wavelength, exhibit fluorescence (FD) properties. This allows for more precise tumor localization, as well as the identification of its
boundaries and the extent of local spread.
1. Administration of a photosensitizer(intravenously, topically, orally, by inhalation, etc.)

2. Accumulation of photosensitizer

3. Fluorescence diagnostics (detection and definition of tumor boundaries)

4. Photodynamic tumor therapy
